Kim Red Cherries, Ms. Highwolf’s other sister, contacted the California-based nonprofit organisation Sovereign Bodies Institute. This group aids Native Americans and other marginalised groups.
Four years after Ms. Highwolf’s death, who on Facebook in 2019 has experienced sexual violence?
Annita Lucchesi, the group’s head, had previously said that Ms. Highwolf’s death was a homicide.
After nearly two years of effort, I was able to meet with the Montana state medical examiner and other officials last month to begin examining Ms. Highwolf’s case.
The end-of-the-month, nearly four-hour talk, which was reported by participants to The New York Times, brought up new topics.
Attorney Jay Harris for Big Horn County went over copies of police reports with the group, including one that said authorities uncovered what seemed to be a suicide note scribbled in a diary in the hotel room. Harris also brought up the idea that the note could have been composed in the guest room.
Despite the fact that this was the first such note anyone in the Highwolf family has ever seen or heard of, Pauline Highwolf remains sceptical. She later saw a photo of it and began to doubt that her daughter had written it.
The Death of Alison High Wolf Was a Tragedy
Five years ago, the death of a young mother was a tragedy for the people of Big Horn County. However, the locals won’t forget about her anytime soon.
Northern Cheyenne mother Allison High Wolf was kidnapped and murdered five years ago today, and a memorial service was conducted on Sunday in Hardin to honour her life and legacy.
At her burial service, the young mother’s loved ones shared memories of her through song and storytelling.
Family and acquaintances say domestic violence contributed to Allison’s death at the young age of 26, and the murder took place in a Rodeway Inn.
Allison’s loved ones say they believe justice was not served when the individual or people responsible for her death were not caught.
More About The Case
Highwolf, who had been staying at the motel with her boyfriend, perished in the fire because of smoke inhalation. No one knows what started the fire.
The state medical examiner said that the cause of her death could not be determined, but that suicide was a likely option.
