Anons on the /x/paranormal board on 7chan are suspected of writing Squidward‘s tragic tale.
The ex-employee recalls being assigned to watch “Fear of the Krabby Patties” with his fellow interns during his tenure at Nickelodeon.
The story was actually titled “Squidward’s Suicide.” The animators, however, decided to push on with the project because they had been led to believe that it was a dark comedy.

His head is cradled on his knees as he huddles around them.
It did not sound like Squidward sobbing, but more like a ghost was wailing or screaming, though I had no idea which ghost it was.
Squidward’s face is visible to the camera for the whole of the scene.
It’s unclear whether the video’s creator is sane or insane.

Despite this, the footage suddenly began to advance at a dizzying rate, and sinister voices could be heard in the distance.
When the yelling finally stops, a deep voice commands, “Do it!” Whether or not I was able to pick it up remains a mystery, but it’s definitely there.
